I met the band during a concert tour in Poland in the springtime. My brother asked me to come to Krakow and help with translating reading material into Polish for the Schagerl instrument exhibition. I was trying out an instrument in the main hall before one of Mnozil’s concerts and when I stopped, the entire band was behind me, listening. I hadn’t ever heard of Mnozil Brass before this, but I immediately became a fan after their concert that evening. The tour was cancelled after Pope John Paul passed away and so they had a whole day in Warsaw to think about offering me an audition...
